I got these because my husband always locks his keys in his truck. It was BARELY large enough to hold his 2000 ford truck key, but it does, and the magnet is powerful, he's not afraid it will fall off.
However, it is NOT big enough to hold a key to MY car, an '05 Mustang. It is too small to hold just the fob either, too thin. So, it works for him, but not for me.

The magnet seems strong enough, I don't think it will fall off. My car key measures a hair under 3" long. If your key is longer than 3" it's not going in this. Four stars rating here because I just got it - waiting to see how well the plastic holds up... I am reasonably sure that this will save my butt the next time I lock myself out of my car though. >.<Customer Review: Think about before you buy...

Bought 7 to pass along to family members in case any get locked out of our beach condo. Product is fine, but finding a metal spot on your car anymore makes this a tough item to really use! Under the hood is about the only place but you need a key to get into your car to get under the hood anymore.Customer Review: Easy Open

The trouble with most of these (mainly the metal ones) they are hard to open. This one is easy open and plastic. Has a Great magnet on it so I am sure it will never fall off when you hit a bump with it! It is also large enough to hold the newer keys.Customer Review: Large is not large enough

With a description of "large", I didn't bother to check before ordering. This keycase is not large enough for today's size car keys. It wasn't deep enough, nor long enough for my wife's 2006 Volvo, nor my 2007 Chrysler key.
