this Masterlock worked just as it says it does. I have hardwood floors so the rubber bottom does stick and won't budge. I tried it on my patio door since it suppose to do both but my doors are wide and i had to stretch it to the max which makes it more wobbly in the middle. my only regret is that there is no alarm but i read the reviews with the alarms is not that good. I will be purchasing more of these since I have 3 doors to bar.Customer Review: Better than wood

If anyone uses wood like I did behind your patio sliding door, I strongly suggest the Master Lock 265DCCSEN. My home was broken into through our patio door even with the wood behind it. I searched for another secure option and came across the Master Lock. I love this lock as you can place it anywhere on your patio door. Someone would have to literally break the glass door to get past this lock. We loved it so much we bought three.Customer Review: Security Bar

I am so glad I bought this product. I have linoleum flooring near the front door, so the rubber stopper is not going anywhere. I love this product and will probably buy one for my sliding door, too. It's very effective and I know someone won't be getting in my front door very easily. I just need enough time to get protected, dial 911 and get ready for whoever comes through my door. I bought this for some extra security for our house. Read that most breakins are caused by the door being kicked in. Long story short, my husband had the garage door opener which prevented me from using our back door. So, totally forgetting we had the security bar in place on the front door....I tried to open the door and couldn't budge it at all!! Well worth the less than $20 I spent on it for some extra piece of mind.Customer Review: How did this get by product testing?

This is the most ridiculous "security" device I have seen. I installed this on my door that had a vinyl tile floor in front of it. This unit slides so easily out of the way. I'm 160 lbs and I didn't even have to push very hard to overcome this stupid unit. If you want the illusion of safety, then buy this unit. But it is a false sense of security. Search for "Door Club" on Amazon for a product that actually works.
