My wife had lost items from a piece of checked luggage where one of the zippered compartments had opened (or been opened) on a previous trip. So I thought it was time to put locks on for our next trip. I bought 6 of these locks (3 2-packs) for travel to Europe for a Mediterranean cruise. They worked perfectly. It was easy to set the custom combinations and they were sturdy enough to withstand 3 airports and the cruise line. Many reviewers have griped about the fact that you can't select the colors you get. Hey...they are just luggage locks! Color didn't matter to me as long as they held up. And they did. Decent product at a very good price.Customer Review: Great little locks, larger than expected

Haven't actually tried out the locks yet (trip isn't until fall) but I ordered these early so I could have them ready. The shipping was SUPER fast and free which was awesome. And the price you couldn't really argue with (2 for $12 I think). Great deal overall, but I was hoping to have smaller locks so they didn't scream "PARANOID TOURIST" all over my suitcase. The body of the lock itself is 1.5" square and mine are neon orange, wish I could've picked a color but at the same time I don't think anyone will confuse my luggage for theirs now :) another security measure I suppose.Customer Review: Crap product aqnd misleading listing

The listing for this product is misleading about the color selection. Why would the information about not being able to select a color be listed in a section with the heading "Special Offers and Product Promotions"?
The locks are very cheaply constructed and mine - just out of the package - both do not work!
I followed the instructions precicely and now they are LOCKED and neither my combination or the factory preset (000) will open them.
Total rip-off IMHO. Very dissatisfied.

I got the locks - I was disappointed I didn't get to choose the color, but I was sent pink ones, which was fine. However, only one of them worked! Despite what seemed like fairly clear instructions on how to set the combination, only one of them actually works with the combination I set. The other one won't lock at all! I leave tomorrow for Australia, and have two suitcases, and am disappointed that I am now going to have to run out and buy another lock, as I don't have the time to order a replacement for these.Customer Review: Weak!

I should know by now that these stupid little TSA approved combo locks are lame. It's great that you can program your own code, but not if it doesn't hold it properly. If I try to get a lock again, I'll go with one with a key.
But here is a suggestion. Instead of locking your bags (as if this toy gadget would really keep out anyone who wanted to get it), just secure them with a zip tie. That accomplishes my real goal... to keep my unmentionables in my bag and off the baggage carousel.
