i'm using this at work. we have interns that need access to certain rooms, but the people who issue the keys don't like to issue very many of them, because it is a security risk. so, rather than issuing keys to all of our interns, i just got a key box to hang on the door. we had a key box previously, a different model, but it broke and was useless. so far, i'm very pleased with this one.Customer Review: Just didnt work.

A lock really only needs to do 2 things, lock, and unlock, mine would unlock ok but would not lock until i hit it against something, which is not easy to do hanging off a door. And yes, I used the switch thats supposed to cause it to lock. I'm sure I just got a defective one, but amazon doesnt allow you to request a replacement only return it, so I think ill try another one this time.Customer Review: GREAT SERVICE! QUICK DELIVERY

This lockbox works fine except the combination needs to be set in order to close. I go to work while a cleaning crew cleans our house and I need them to lock the front door when they leave. The idea is to have them then put the key in the lockbox and close it. Unfortunately, I have to rely on them to scramble the combo as well and reset the combo every time they come. I have bought two of these, and both lock boxes failed within about a year's time. One will not open, and the other will not close. I use them to store my spare house keys in case I get locked out, so they rarely get used, and yet they still fail. In case you are wondering, I hang them on an interior door (I own a condo), so they are NOT exposed to the weather.
