Tools and Hardware Reviews of Timex TX1001 6.5-Inch Tube ThermometerCustomer Review: Great thermometer for the price Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great thermometer for the price. I ordered 4 and they were all within 1 degree of each other (see the photos I provided). They each include a screw and have a mounting hole on the back. I taped a couple to the inside of a couple of fridges to make sure the temp stays in the upper 30s. I am using another in the garage and another in a closet where I have electronic equipment and it can get warm. These also have a good temp range on them, though probably not enough upper range to put one in a hot attic (like in Texas). Also, these are easy to read and are mercury free. 5 out of 5 stars because it's a great thermometer for the price.

Timex TX1001 6.5-Inch Tube ThermometerTimex TX1003 10.62-Inch Tube Thermometer
I needed several basic thermometers (and I didn't want to pay a fortune).
I ordered 2 6.5" and 2 10.62". They are accurate (less than 1/2 degree difference) and the 10.62"s are particularly easy to read. Excellent for the price, free shipping (combined with some other items), and they arrived 5 days earlier than promised. Thanks again Amazon!
Customer Review: this doesn't work - don't bother with it Summary: 1 Stars
I bought this thermometer recently. It doesn't show above 68 (even when in the 80s) and below 60. Have tried everything and nothing gets it to show correct temperature. Also, difficult to read. 3 times bigger than my little thermometer of >20 years that broke and yet harder to read. Cost more to buy a padded envelope to return it than the cost of the thermometer (it came in an envelope not a box). Also, as per other reviews the screw that come with it to hang it up is too big - after all this time you think they'd fix that problem also. Not worth the money - not worth being given free (in my opinion). It just doesn't work.
Customer Review: Thermometer Summary: 5 Stars
I bought two thermometers from Amazon recently. The first, made of wood and by a company called Taylor, was a disappointment. This one is much nicer. It's made of white plastic with a very modern and clean design. If Apple computers made thermometers instead of the iMac, it might look like this. Easy to read and with both F and C scales, it looks very nice and even includes a mounting screw. One thing though, it WILL swing in the wind and must be secured by say, epoxy glue, if you intend to expose it to direct winds.
Customer Review: Very accurate, inexpensive thermometer Summary: 5 Stars
I bought three of these about two years ago. When I opened the box they were all three reading exactly the same temperature, and they have remained accurate since then wherever I have used them - indoors, outdoors, in refrigerators, etc. I've had not-so-good luck accuracy-wise with a lot of other thermometers, but these have been very dependable. I just ordered three more. I would have also ordered one of the 10 inch versions, but it doesn't seem to be available anymore.
