Tools and Hardware Reviews of Maxxima 3 LED Occupancy Sensor Light

Customer Review: Its OK, Depending on How You Use It
Summary: 3 Stars

I bought this to light up the pantry located behind/beneath the stairs. The motion sensing feature works fine. However, the lighting feature doesn't get close to lighting up the pantry, but since I didn't mount it to the wall, I just pick it up and use it as a flashlight. When I'm done, put it down, and close the door. It turns off by itself. Its more of an oversized nightlight, but considering the cost, its a fair product.

Customer Review: this product sucks
Summary: 1 Stars

this product is bright, thats about the only good thing. very limited range, you have to walk up close to it like withinin few feet for it to work, does not work as advertise, has very weak horizontal angle detection. it suck up battery like theres no tomorrow, the batteries only last like a month or two. again the range of detection is extremely poor. there are better products out there.

Customer Review: Battery power for odd nook
Summary: 4 Stars

Fills the bill well for a poorly lit stretch of stairs. It worked erratically with nearly-drained lithium photo AA batteries, but highly satisfactory with standard alkaline. I don't like using disposable batteries, so I hope it will work with rechargables. The sensor functions work well for my purposes. I put it against the wall at the top step or on a windowsill above the upper steps.

Customer Review: Its a battery powered motion sensing night light.
Summary: 4 Stars

There are three models of motion sensing night light made by maxxima. They contain one, two or three LEDs. This is the model with the most light output with 3 LEDs. The light is a bluish color. Its about as bright a regular night light. This model does not plug into the wall. Its only battery powered. It uses 4AA batteries. The motion sensor coverage is ok, but not great.

Customer Review: Does its job well.
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this so my Grandma could see to turn on the lights after waking up in the middle of the night. It avoided a lot of injuries. Her rate of nightly injury against walls, doors, and the dog all decreased. It kills batteries fast so get rechargable Ni-MH batteries if you buy this. It's as bright as a standard 2 C-cells flashlight with a less focused beam.
