This was the first time I had purchased the Maytag, PuriClean Water Filter from on line. I always went to our local Maytag store and got the new one there.
The price at the store went up this year to $70.00 for one I found that to be excessive so I decided to go on line and try my hand.
I found the exact same product on line for less than than half of what our local store was selling them for.
This product came quickly and I installed it and it works perfectly. From now on I will be getting this item on line. No more going to the local store.

The product I received is fine however I felt the charge for shipping and handling to be somewhat excessive.
This seems to be a common problem when ordering goods in Canada that are sent from the U.S.
After paying $20 shipping and handling for a $30 item I was shocked when several weeks later I received a further invoice directly from Fedex for another $14, being $4 tax and $10 application fee.
I have queried this with FiltersFast and have not has a satisfactory response.
If I had known in advance of these additional charges I would certainly have not purchased the filter.

While this filter works great...the picture is not what you will get. You will get the new one that is compatible but you won't know that from any packaging or note. You will think that you received the wrong product until you can finally contact Fast Filters (they don't respond to Amazon email so you have to call). Rest assured the product is wonderful and lasts as it should with easy installation.Customer Review: This filter does its job!

I purchased a new home in august that came with a fridge that used one of these filters. I noticed when I would get water from the fridge water dispensers it would always taste metallic. Then one day the change filter light came on so I bought one of these filters and now the water from the fridge tastes great. These things really do work! They are easy to install as well.Customer Review: Filter sent was not what was pictured!!

The filters shipped were not the same filters that were pictured.
I was disappointed and will be sure not to order from the seller again.
When I contacted the seller they just said the filter had changed. I feel I was given a cheaper replacement filter. That is why they were selling it cheaper than others. I ordered by looking at the filter and the number.
