Tools and Hardware Reviews of Mice Cube 3-pk Humane Mouse Trap - The Only Mousetrap You'll Ever UseCustomer Review: Great service - poor product Summary: 1 Stars
I've bought these mouse traps twice. The door was broken on one of them and customer service from Mouse Cube sent me 2 extra right away. They have great customer service.
This doesn't excuse the product though. Basically the thought is if a mouse happens to be in our home we want to trap it and set it free in the wilderness than just kill it because it happens to get in our way. WWJD?
This mouse trap though has killed more mice than any other "humane" product because of some basic design flaws. What happens is the mouse gets trapped and then suffocates a black slimy death because there are no air holes and the color of the plastic is about the same as the color of the mouse. Eyeballing it once daily is not enough because you can easily miss a cute baby mouse from being in the trap by not even seeing it.
To work it properly, you need to pick up each trap twice daily to see if you caught anything. If you miss it, the mouse dies a bad cruel death by the time you make your next rounds. If you go out for a day or miss the evening "walk-about" and a mouse is inside the trap, it will get no air and be condemned to a slow agonizing death. It would be better to use the snap trap and break it's neck and die instantly.
But the reason we buy these is to be humane to begin with, and in the end it winds up being worse than the quick way. The traps need air holes for the critters to breath. They put up a violent fight to get out and panic themselves into breathing fast and the heat and the lack of air kills them - slowly. I find them dead and slimy like they sweated to death.
The plastic also needs to be a color so you can easily see if there is a mouse in there. You miss it once and the mouse can be in the trap for 48 hours and will be dead. So then, what is the point of this trap? To kill mice in a more dramatic slow difficult death? That would be the opposite of why it was bought in the first place. Add air holes, do something about the color, and washing them out isn't that easy to do either. Needs some thinking.
The brand that is green is great, but because the babies are so small and light, they eat the food and never trip the trap. These MC traps work better, but we end up killing the poor things too many times even though we try hard not to let that happen.

Description of Mice Cube 3-pk Humane Mouse Trap - The Only Mousetrap You'll Ever Use3 PK Mice Cubes - Safe, Clean, Silent, Reusable - IT WORKS!!
The Mice Cube is a molded plastic mousetrap with a door that is free-swinging in an inward direction only. Small holes in the door allow the odor of the bait to escape to attract the mouse. The mouse enters by pushing the light-weight door inward, which then closes by gravity, preventing escape. IT WORKS !! You never have to touch the mouse !!
Mice Cubes aren't literally cubes, but rather dark black but somewhat translucent rectangles the size of a butter dish 2"x2"x 5.75".
Directions For Use: 1. To bait trap, spread peanut butter on a cracker and place it at the far end of the trap opposite the door. HINT: To help attract mouse to trap, spread a very thin layer of peanut butter on the swinging door - wipe of any excess so peanut scent remains, and the door swings freely. 2. Place trap along wall or in area where mouse droppings are prevalent. Warning: Check trap once or twice a day, as mouse will expire if left in Mice Cube. 3. To release the mouse, take the Mice Cube outside and turn the trap upside down. The door will open and the mouse can exit. 4. If mouse has expired in trap, you may dispose of it in a refuse container without ever touching the mouse!
