I have owned at least 8 book lights over the years. Some last for a year or so and others fail miserably in a couple of weeks.
This light is by far the best one I have ever used. It has a nice bright LED light that will illuminate a paperback (both pages) and a hardback (both pages) easily but cuts the light off at the edge of the beam so that others are not bothered by the light being on.
It has a long flexible neck that seems to be very durable and holds its position.
The batteries last a long time as well.
It clips to the back of the book and stays in place and is lightweight.
I would buy 10 more of these without hesitation.
I have had mine for over 5 years now and it is still going strong!

It is as perfect as it sounds... I loved mine so much I bought the blue one for my mother. It works for either paper or hardback books... works better with hardback, but I just got finished reading a paperback book with over a 1000pages... a miserably small paged paper back with itty bitty print... and this thing saved my eyes and made it pleasant to read.
The batteries it comes with are kinda cheap and don't last long, but they work great at first... getting you happily started.
It is perfect for wide hardbacks... illuminating both pages with out any adjustment while flipping pages... or equally as well for small paperbacks... I love this little thing. I can't believed I lived without it this long.

You wouldn't think it would be so hard to make a descent book light. Well, look at most of them on the market. This one has the features that I wanted:
- a strong clip that won't break or slip out of position
- a flexible neck that would allow me to adjust the position of the light
- a strong white light to read by, preferably with multiple intensity settings
- reasonable battery life
The LED bulbs will last practically forever, and use very little power, while providing a good white light to read by, and offers 2 brightness settings. The neck is strong and flexible, as is the clip. Good price. Done.

Over the years, I have purchased and used four of these great little lights. I use them to read mostly, but they have come in handy when a flashlight was not readily available. I've always been happy with this product, but this last one I bought, the Might Bright XtraFlex2 light (purple), actually broke on me. I was removing it from a book and when I pushed down on the clip to remove it, half of the clip just broke completely off, so it is no longer usuable as a book light. Would I purchase another one? I am doing just that right now to replace the defective one. I still believe these are great products and will continue to use them.Customer Review: Great book light

I would recommend this to anyone who works late at home and doesn't have a separate office. The coverage is great. I use it to illuminate my laptop keyboard as I'm resting on the couch or in bed and it doesn't disturb my husband next to me. It's great for books, hardcover and soft, as well as typed manuscript pages. I'm read alot at night so this is a crucial part of my life.
I've gone through a lot of book lights, some too dim, some with not enough coverage, or the batteries or bulbs die quickly. This is probably the last one I'll ever need to get.
