This is the second product I tried for reading with the Kindle in the darkness. I'm really happy with this choice. This runs off of three AAA batteries or AC adapter. The AC adapter gets in my way so I use rechargable batteries. I clamp it on the top of my cross stitch frame and it provides plenty of light for my requirements. This one has the option of using either one or two LED's providing two levels of lighting. reasonably bright light.
took off 2 stars because clip moves around a bit on paperbacks and i have to manipulate the light frequently to shine it where i'm reading either because it has moved or because the light does not cover both sides of the book.
would love better design that addresses these issues

I've tried many lights, but so far, this is my favorite. it's not too heavy, it has a bright directed light, and it's easy to use. Using it with a paperback is not as easy as a hardback but it's still a great light. the power went out for two nights, and I used it to see my way around. This is the brightest, most convenient booklight I've owned, and I've owned quite a few. I have several of these in case I ever need a backup or need to give a gift.
Kind of heavy when reading paperbacks, but definitely not something that would keep me from buying this light again.
