Tools and Hardware Reviews of Misco GH41 Four Shelf GreenhouseCustomer Review: Great little greenhouse! Summary: 4 Stars
Now, admittedly I have only had this for a few weeks, so can't give a more long-term opinion, but so far I've been really happy with this. I wanted the greenhouse as a place for seedlings once they had sprouted; more to keep them safe from marauding creatures than the weather, as I've had whole crops of seedlings disappear down to the bare earth overnight in the past! And so far, this has done a great job.
The greenhouse frame is, by design, quite lightweight, so I have put a couple of bricks and empty terracotta pots on the bottom shelf; so far this has kept it very sturdy. The shelves were also slightly rickety but we attached them firmly with plastic ties and they have been no problem at all.
For the price, this is great value for money and a good item.
ADDED FIVE MONTHS LATER: The greenhouse is still going strong! We've had plenty of hot weather, winds and rain, and things are still great.
Customer Review: not as good as hoped for Summary: 1 Stars
This product looked like it would work just fine....at first. but after using it, the product has no weight so any wind will knock it down. I didn't use stakes or anything to anchor it to the ground, which isn't mentioned in the paperwork that came with it. oh and it cannot be used in any areas that happen to have temperatures at least 90 degrees Fahrenheit. the plastic melted!!! It is now completely useless to me as a greenhouse. I can use it for the shelves i think. still no weight to them so they'll have to either be used indoors or anchored when used outside. looking into customer support and hoping to get either a reimbursement or a replacement. one star cuzz it could be used in cooler climate areas. too bad it doesn't mention that.
Customer Review: Very Flimsy - Indoor use only Summary: 2 Stars
I put this together today to start seedlings. because i cover my seedling trays with saran wrap or clear tops, keeping the humidity inside wasn't such an issue. The structure is very flimsy though. the spots where the poles slip into simply split when inserted. i couldn't even get the top curved pieces in the slots because the slots weren't big enough. frankly i have a chair propped up against it because i fear collapse. i would NEVER put this outside because it would just blow over. also, it is NOT portable. it should be put together where it needs to stand because once together you can't move it without it falling apart.
Customer Review: A decent product Summary: 4 Stars
This portable greenhouse was very easy to assemble. It's reasonably constructed, although the wire shelves are made out of a pretty thin gauge wire. The plastic covering is thin, but so far durable.
Even though the construction of this is kinda cheap, it has been stable and seems relatively durable in spite of its cheap construction.
Overall I am pleased with my purchase.
Customer Review: Perfect protector for seedlings and young plants Summary: 5 Stars
This portable greenhouse is a breeze to put together, no screws, etc...and when the temperature outside is 45, inside the greenhouse it can soar to over 80. The zippered front flap allows you to open up to reduce temperature or close to increase. I start my heirloom tomatoes in this wonderful greenhouse every year. Couldn't do it without it.I love it!
