Got tired of replacing the cartridge in our faucet and the
cost of the cartridge was beginning to get high enough that I
was going to just replace the whole faucet, so I would not have
to purchase the cartridges anymore.
Glad that I checked Amazon first.
This item was at a good savings over the retail stores cost.
The ordering and receiving transaction was smooth too.
Easily replaced the old leaky cartridge using the included
instruction sheet and faucet works great now.

I installed the 1225 into a shower without incident, but it began dripping again in 10 mos. I called Moen who said they will send me a new cartridge. Also, they suggested using hot water and vinegar to clean out the inside of the faucet, as it will help the o-rings to seat. We shall see--it could be a new cartridge going into an old faucet that has caused the new drip....Customer Review: Sharon

Quick shipment. Just when I needed it. The cartridge was very easy to install. Could not believe it. Some would have you believe you have to have a special tool to get the old cartridge out, NOT! Came out quick and the new one slipped right in. I thought I did something wrong. Everything went well and actually works better than the original.Customer Review: What's Not to Like?

Item as advertised - only problem is I could get it free from Moen. Any of their faucet products manufactured after 1995 have a Lifetime Warranty. Call Moen customer service and get the parts free - be sure to have proof of purchase of the original. Being a packrat pays off - I keep receipts for everything I buy that has warrantie / guarantees.Customer Review: easy to install replacement part

Easy to install, directions were just a little lacking, but what do you expect from a small replacement part. Recommend watching vids on youtube for installing if you need more comfort, and don't forget to use a generous amount of silicone grease (for plumbing) when installing... makes the action smooth and reduces wear on the gaskets.
