Customer Review: Quality has become inconsistent

I have used these earplugs for several years and have sworn by them. I have purchased at least 800 pairs for myself and as gifts for others. In the past, the density of the foam and the size of the plugs were pretty consistent. But this last box is extremely variable. Almost every set of plugs (they come packaged in pairs) has at least one plug that is so small and flimsy that it doesn't fit properly and falls out in the night or else lets in noise. Often they don't expand back to full size after I insert them. Sometimes I have to open two or three packages to get two that fit. I think this is not an accident -- on one supplier's site, they now describe a box as having a mix of sizes. I am really disappointed. They should sell the boxes by size instead of mixing them all in together.
