Customer Review: Finally, some that work

Over the course of several days, I ordered 5 and returned 3 of these delightful lights, in the hopes of having 2 that would operate as advertised. The 3 that needed to be returned worked not at all, or for only 1-2 nights, and then stopped functioning. Finally, I have 2 that have been working wonderfully, and they provide just the right amount of alternating colorful light in my garden.
From what I could determine, either the auto/off switch on the units was not working, or the solar generating unit did not charge the battery, so if you're in the market for these lights, be prepared to receive and return some to have some that work.
Would I purchase more of them, yes, they truly are unique and "happy" additions to the garden.

One must take into account that I erected my Moonray Balls in the fall/winter equinox, even though I live in Southern California. Clearly, we have plenty of sun here, but I'm finding these balls need DIRECT sunlight for many hours. My backyard, is a bit more shady in the winter even though I don't have many trees and I'm finding I really have to put the balls in a place where they'll get 6-8 hours of sun otherwise they drain very quickly.
All that said, I LOVE THESE! I'm looking forward to see how long they last (most solar lights I've learned last around a year at best) and I'm excited to see how well they do in the summertime.
The $ on these is well worth the intrigue and uniqueness my backyard has now.

I bought nine of these for my sidewalk and absolutely love them! I have read reviews of them being unreliable and did have one that didn't work. It's light sensor was ineffective and stayed on all the time. Amazon sent me a new one within 36 hours, amazing! I find myself sitting on my porch at twilight just to watch them come on. I've had them for about six months now and have had no problems. They are also very durable and made of thick glass. I've slammed one with my car door (ouch) and dropped one on the sidewalk while installing and they don't have a scratch on them. The glow also looks spectacular from the road and the beautiful changing colors ensure that you will never get bored with them.Customer Review: Disappointed

I initially purchased 3 Moonrays after reading the good reviews on them. They are very pretty and worked well at the beginning. After about a week, one of them took a dive, only staying lit for a few hours. I contacted the company directly and didn't get much relief. However, since I was initally pleased, I had in the mean time ordered and additional 6 for gifts, but then decided I didn't want to give them in case my problem wasn't an isolated one. Sure enough, on the second order, one of them has also taken a dive, brely working, and then only for a few hours. I love these! I have 8 of them and I purchased several more for a family gift. They are beautiful and change to so many lovely colors. Our neighbor has another brand and it only changes to 3 colors. These are so much prettier. The price (I paid 11.99 with free shipping) is unbelievable for such a nice product. I have them tucked into large planters on our deck and they look so pretty day and night. I also bought 3 of the butterflies made by the same company and they all came together with free shipping. I would recommend adding a couple butterflies with these glass balls, for a beautiful effect. Great product and a wonderful company to do business with.
