A neighbor down the block has color changing globes in her backyard, and they are very pretty, so I compared reviews and ordered one of these. I liked it so much that I ordered two more, but before they even arrived, someone stole the first one from my front flower bed. Perhaps that's why my neighbor has hers in her backyard. Anyway, these are beautiful globes with many vivid colors. They stay lit long into the night even after a cloudy day. They are easy to put together are place into the ground. I bought this in September and in early November the glass ball fell off after the temps dipped into the 20s. It didn't crack or otherwise break but the glue apparently failed in the cold, so now it's in my closet waiting for warmer weather. When it was outside it worked great, this light lasted longer through the night than any of the other solar lights I've got in the garden now and I was hoping that it would be working year round. I will fix this one and put it back out in the spring but won't be buying another one.Customer Review: Color changing solar lights

These are just gorgeous ! There is no way to really describe the eye-catching and mesmerizing display of colored light as the ball slowly morphs and changes colors. I have three of these placed in my garden and the display at night is so eye-catching that I find myself at the window just stareing out at them for long periods of time. These are a wonderful landscape feature to add light and beauty at night, expecially when combined with other white solar lights for contrast. Items arrived quickly, packed well. I bought these as gifts for others, so they are still unopened. I do own a few and have given some as gifts, and have had a 70% success rate. 30% of my Moonrays have failed. The tiny bulbs light up, but they do not glow enough to illuminate the sphere. The Moonrays are awesome when they work, and I took a chance and bought more, hoping that I'd get a few more that worked in this order. If they're duds, I'm stuck with glass spheres on poles. These are excellent decorative solar lights that would enhance anyones back yard or deck. I have mine on my deck spaced out along 40 feet and it is surely eye candy to watch. The charge they get during the day keeps them glowing all night. I bought mine at Lowes last year for about $17 but I see now that they have about doubled in price since that time. Could be because Moonrays doesn't produce them anymore and they are only available on the secondary market. 02/27/08
