I bought this at family dollar last year sometime and have been using it since...i was sitting here just now and the part that plugs into the wall started smoking and sparking! luckily it didn't catch anything else on fire...i grabbed it and put it in some water once it settle down. that was scary! i have already lost one place to fire, i don't plan to do it again. the product wasn't gotten wet or crowded or anything...do not buy this, here or in a store. i got it at family dollar.
Description of Wireless Light Switch-"Easy Switch"
"EasySitch"is a wireless light switch you can use to control any lamp in your home with a remote control device. Each "EasySwitch" comes with a switch and remote receiver you can activate in one simple step. Just plug the receiver into an outlet, and then plug your lamp into the receiver! "EasySwitch" works by sending a signal to the receiver, telling it to turn the power on or off, when you flick the switch. Plus, each switch also comes with a special adhesive that lets you stick your "EasySwitch" to any surface, then remove and re-use it in any location you choose. "EasySwitch" only works with lamps or other devices that plug into the wall. The range is approximately 60 feet, and the radio frequency it uses will penetrate walls. Works Across the room! For better performance and safety use only 1 "Easy Switch" receiver per AC socket and 2 feet distance should be allowed between "EasySwitch" receiver. Reusable Tape Included.
