Tools and Hardware Reviews of Clocky Alarm Clock on Wheels, Almond

Customer Review: Poor customer support from Nanda
Summary: 1 Stars

This was a fun and useful product until it broke (runs away, but stopped making any alarm sound). I was past the return period from the store where I bought it so I contacted Nanda for warranty service. And I contacted Nanda again. And I contacted Nanda again. I emailed them. I called them on the phone. I even wrote a letter (a real honest to goodness letter - you know, with a stamp). Every time I spoke to someone, they said they would have to get back in touch with me, but they never did. Always apologetic, but never solving the problem. It's too bad. They obviously are a small company and I was rooting for them. They don't seem to be run very well. Nanda, if you're listening, it's and I would still like a working Clocky. Nanda's customer support is awful. It's hard to recommend Clocky for this reason.

Customer Review: Who likes their alarm?
Summary: 4 Stars

People who are looking for an alarm clock that runs away are not the usual sort of people I think would like an alarm clock... I doubt that most of them would give an alarm clock that fights to wake them up a good review. The first few weeks where this alarm would roll away from me after it went off I felt like I wanted to kill it, but I bought it so that me and my girlfriend would have an easier time getting up in the morning on those days we stayed up late.

Sure, it isnt the best looking alarm clock (hello, it has wheels!!) but it works well for what it does. Mine has lasted over a year with no cracks or breakdowns. I love it (and hate it!! Let me sleep!!).

Customer Review: Clocky is nice if you don't need to change the batteries.
Summary: 3 Stars

I received a clocky in 2008 for Christmas but after the batteries died and I went to change them even with the pull strap they didn't come out easily. Once they finally did come out they bent the springs and the opposite end with the plates were awkwardly bent as well. I tried putting new batteries in and after ten minutes of struggle without it turning on and trying to push the battery in carefully one of them broke and started leaking.

It's an awesome alarm clock but they really should make the battery compartment easier to deal with. Maybe I was just unlucky with mine. I would get another but the price is a bit high.

Customer Review: Finally, Something for Hypersomniacs....
Summary: 4 Stars

This clock is not for anyone with a heart condition or gentle constitution. Clocky went off, clanging and whistling some some mechanical banshee, and I nearly jumped out of my skin, clinging to the ceiling by my fingernails like a cartoon cat.
Perfect.
If you're starting to habituate to your present alarm clock, press the snooze button to often or find the process of waking up pales in comparison to anything the Marquis de Sade could come up with, then this is the clock for you.

Customer Review: great little clock for those that cannot get out of bed
Summary: 5 Stars

My son has a terrible time waking up in the morning. This alarm does not wake you too suddenly so that your heart is pounding, but it sure gets your attention. I can hear it go off in the morning and I wake from it smiling. It does sound like R2D2 as other reviewers have noted. My only complaint is it is easy to turn off if you hit the wrong button in your sleepy state of mind. Love the fact that it starts racing around the room after you use the snooze button. Very cute idea.
