As a prior reviewer noted, there is a grim warning on the package. It also refers to operating instructions which are NOT included.
I contacted Amazon customer service, who disavowed any knowledge of or responsibility for the item and referred me to the vendor (eToolsCity).
Quote from customer service: "I see that my previous colleague had already forwarded your valuable feedback to our concerned department so that they can investigate and update full details regarding this item on our web site."
I see no mention of the above warning or any other changes in the product description as is promised above.
I have not contacted the vendor, this is not worth the trouble. I will be returning this product.

"Heavy-Duty"....no..cheap...yes. Fantastic anyway, YES YES YES! I bought three of these lights and absolutely love them. I read lots of reviews on them and wonder what happen with all the 1 star people. All three of mine work fantastic and haven't had any problems yet. They are SUPER bright and SUPER light and small. I love them. So for the current price of $four$ you can't beat it. People need to stop complaining and realize you are buying a $four$ flashlight. They are cheap they are and definitely aren't "heavy-Duty", but in my opinion if you take care of them they will work just fine for a long time. Maybe i got a defective unit but after about a year the light stopped staying on constantly. I have to tap it's head until the light comes on, but of course since I have to tap it often it typically taps itself right back off. After 3 years its relegated to last ditch emergency (or laziness) use, I moan and groan and pull it out and soon as I'm done with it throw it in the desk drawer as far back as I can and hope I'll not be so lazy and get up to grab my Fenix 6 Level High Performance Cree LED Flashlight, Black, 4-InchCustomer Review: Bought 4, only 3 worked.

I bought 4 of these as "stocking stuffers" for my daughters, my wife, and myself. I wanted them to have one in their car for safety reasons. Well, my one daughter's did not work. I tried fooling with the electronic connections, but I could not get it to work without shaking, and then just picking it up would make it stop working. I wound up throwing it out because I had been tampering with the electronics to try and get it to work. I wound up getting a replacement at K-Mart.
For the 3 that did work, they work beautifully, are very bright, and are very light and compact.

I anxiously waited for this little guy to come in the mail. When I opened up the package, it was all scratched up and had a pretty decent sized dent in it. This had to be pre-packaging/shipping because it was wrapped in bubble wrap and didnt appear to have any of the bubbles popped... I was disappointed... as for the light itsself, the beam is pretty bright up close, but does not have a long range of brightness, but I'm not surprised givin its size and price. If it didnt come damaged I would have given it 4 stars
