I thought this would be a piece of junk considering the price. To my surprise this is a great flashlight. Plenty bright for its size and is much brighter than any of the small Maglites. I have only had it a month but I have already abused it many times and it is holding up great. This is a small flashlight, maybe three inches. I only gave it a three because I had to install and remove the batteries several times until I could get the flashlight to turn on when the cap was all the way screwed on. Also the hand strap did not fit through the hole provided. It is a good size to keep in the glove compartment of your car.Customer Review: Decent Flashlight

These work and seem to be substantial. I am not sure why they went with the AAA instead of the AA batteries though. They are functional and bright...but the light also would be more effective if more able to be focused. I feel though that I can depend on these...which is more than I can say for their other models. I bought 2 of these for $2.99 each. Even with the high shipping and handling they were a great deal. Now that I see you can get them using Amazon prime for $4.99 I may buy a bunch more. FYI-I consider myself a flashaholic since I have an extensive collection of flashlights and these are probably the best bang for the buck I've seen...Customer Review: Avoid - Totally unreliable.

Light flickers, when working. Kept one in my car. Never seems to work when I need it. Kept another in my house, again never seems to work when i need it. Batteries drain quickly, apparently because it's easy to turn on by simply being bumped around. Also, cover has to be screwed on in just the right position or it won't work.
