Tools and Hardware Reviews of Super-Bright 9 LED Heavy-Duty Compact Aluminum Flashlight - Jet BlackCustomer Review: Great Value Summary: 5 Stars
This flashlight is very bright. For all the bad reviews people need to realize its 4.50 cents not 50.00 some people are just absolutely dumb. I use this light doing security at a nightclub and this light has plenty of power to get peoples attention and light up an area it is absolutely blinding if you look into it. I understand that the inside of the light seems to be a little lose and rattles around...A couple things you can do that I recommend is to replace the batteries that are included for starters..I did this and it made a huge difference. Another thing is if the component that holds the batteries isn't tight wrap a piece of tape around it to hold them in snug..and another thing is you can gently pull the spring on the top part out a little more to also have a snug contact on everything. This flashlight is a great deal and worth the 5 bucks.
Customer Review: Very small but bright Summary: 4 Stars
Just received 2 of these flashlights, one silver and one blue and was struck by their size. Compact is not quite the word. Miniscule comes to mind. They are literally just a few inches long. And some people may be a little confused by the battery compartment, as they are used to simply inserting bulbs into the flashlight. This unit has a battery compartment that you remove to insert 3 AAA batteries, then push back into the flashlight. With all that said, the light is very, very bright! Brighter than much larger flashlights. I cannot vouch for durability or longevity of the LED bulbs (there is a 3-year warranty, though) but if you're looking for compact flashlight for pocket, purse or carthat gives off a lof of light, this seems like a very good choice. One other point to note, though very bright, the light beam size is not adjustable.
Customer Review: Good quality inexpensive light. Summary: 5 Stars
I originally bought 2 of these lights. I've had them for 16 months now and both have consistently functioned perfectly! They feel solid, seem well constructed, and of course are extremely inexpensive. In terms of performance, this little light is almost as bright as my 3 C cell maglite, at a fraction of the maglight's cost and size. There's something about the design/dimentions and weight of these things that just "feels right".
While originally inteneded for use in the car, they're now kept by the bed and used regularly (lately when taking the dog out walking at night). The battery performance is great (after 16 months at least one of these is still working on the original included set of AAA batteries). Seriously, how can you go wrong for under $6??
I just ordered 6 more!
Customer Review: Noway! Never again!!! Summary: 1 Stars
This item is a real piece of C%$P... Well you know. It's a bad product. I bought three of them and the first thing was the little black strap was not on it. I tried to attach it. Forget it. Not worth the trouble. Next, I went to put one in the kitchen and it fell apart. I mean I didn't even drop it, it just sprang apart. The front popped right off. I've seen this same item in the local store for $1.99 Come on now! For the price I paid I could have gotten one OK flashlight. Now I own three really cheap ones. I would put a few drops of supper glue on the front lens edges to keep it in place. That is most likely where others are getting the flickering from, and was the reson it fell apart. The front lens popped right out. I would worn others to stay clear of this item. You could do MUCH better!!!
Customer Review: Poor build quality, nice light for the price. Summary: 4 Stars
Bought 3 of these flashlights in different colors. One of the units, the cool blue one, first started showing intermittent lighting, then died. After pushing on the glass face of the flashlight, the light came back on, but soon went away. After a few more tries pushing on the glass face, the light came back on, hopefully to stay. To ensure that it stays operational, I've added superglue to make sure the glass does not shift out the millimeter or two that seems to kill the flashlight. Still decided to give it 4 stars because for the price it does give out decent light to use on camping trips, and battery life has been good though I have not timed it. Also, to be fair, it did take some abuse from my son, and I don't really expect a low priced flashlight to handle too much abuse.
