The space bag works as stated. I packed clothes for a 1.5 week trip to Korea, and this really helped out. Not only does it reduce the volume the clothes use in the luggage, it also keeps the clothes clean and compartmentalized. The space bag does take some effort to use since you have to roll the air out. As I rolled the clothes, the clothes typically shifted towards the end of the bag where the trapped air is expelled. This seemed to block the vent and prevented further air from being pushed out of the bag. However, I just had to jostle the bag to shift the clothes towards the other end of the bag and then continue rolling, and more air got out. Its not difficult, and much better than lugging a vacuum around. Overall very pleased.Customer Review: These Bags Work!

I have traveled to Europe, Guatemala, and around the USA with these bags and they work! It sometimes takes a bit of knack to get them to release the air as you roll them up. You also have to not cram them totally full before you roll them up as this will block the exhaust valve.
Not only do the Space Bags save space, they help me to organize my clothes and keep clothes from wrinkling. I always pack a couple of extra Space Bags to cover any purchases I make while traveling.
The only downside to these bags is they are a bit thin and sometimes get a hole in them after a few trips. All in all, the Space Bags are great!I never pack a suitcase without them.

We bought these for our recent vacation, and they were invaluable. Our large suitcase was damaged and everything in it had to be redistributed between our other bags. Without these I doubt it would have been possible.
I was careful not to overfill (as noted in other reviews), and they worked every time, opening and reclosing thru 3 continents over 15 days. They never leaked once. However they are rather thin feeling so I'm not certain how much longer they will last. To be safe I've ordered another set as a backup.
I found I could also squeeze a little extra air out by carefully kneeling on them after rolling. I love these things!

these bags work amazing!!!! i was able to pack sooooo much with these bags. they really do work!! i am moving out of college and back home and these are they best thing i could have for moving out and helping save space to pack other things. they are also a great space saver for flying. i fit 2 twin comforters, 2 sets of sheets, a pillow, curtains, towels, clothes for a weeks plus clothes to store away, and much more all in one suitcase!!! unbelievable!! i lovee these space bags! ---- but you do need a good vacume, my friends was great, but the one at home has bad suction and threfore did not get as much air out as my firendsCustomer Review: These worked really well!

I used some of these bags on my recent cruise vacation and I was able to bring a lot more clothes as a result. I probably could have packed the bags more carefully, and had fewer wrinkles, but some items did not need ironing anyway. Easy to follow directions for putting clothes in, you snap, then zip it shut and roll from the zipper to the other end which has air release "valves." I probably decreased the clothes volume by 50%. They worked very well, and stayed shut during a long flight both ways. I don't know about the longterm durability yet, but they're definitely a go to use again.
