Tools and Hardware Reviews of NewAir G73 Electric Garage Heater With Built-In ThermostatCustomer Review: A great little unit! Summary: 5 Stars
I needed dependable heat for a small (480 sq/ft) woodworking shop. Prior to installing this unit I was using a Monitor kerosene heater which was plagued with mysterious 'shut-downs'. Because of limited space a wood stove was out of the question, so I gave this unit a try; it's more than adequate (I live in Maine) to maintain comfortable working temperatures even on the coldest of days. Got my first electric bill yesterday and it wasn't nearly as expensive to run as I had thought...adding maybe $100 to the total electric bill (and the unit is running 24/7)!
All in all, an excellent source of shop heat.
Customer Review: Dayton warms things up Summary: 5 Stars
This item arrived with adequate instructions and I had already had the electrical work plumbed in for 240 V, so the installation was a breeze. This was installed in my basement, so that I can work in my woodshop during the winter months. The heat output is excellent. I'm not sure of what the monthly increase in electric costs will be, but the ability to use the basement is a plus anyway. You can adjust the direction of heat flow, heat output and the built-in thermostat allows for shutoff when the desired temperature is obtained and turns on again when needed. Good item for the price.
Customer Review: Eastern Washington state Heater review Summary: 5 Stars
I ordered this heater. Recieved it in two days on regular mail/ups. The heater heated my garage up in a half an hour to 60 degrees. from a cold 45 degrees. My garage is insulated , except for the roll up door leaks air at the top. I have a two car garage. It is a place for me to repair things ,and do my projects in a warm place. Our temp. here have been getting into the single digits. Great heater. Nice looking, and easy to install. I would buy this heater ,and would refer it to anyone.Great to deal with this supplier.Wenatchee, Wa. cold country
Customer Review: Very happy with clean thermostatically controlled heat in the garage Summary: 5 Stars
I spent a lot of time debating the type of heater for a three car garage - well insulated, with 9' ceiling. In Oklahoma it does some times get pretty cold. However, when it is in the 20s outside my garage is warm and comfortable. The thermostat is great. I have the heater waving a wall so it never is blowing on me. I found it easy to install if your comfortable putting in 2 - 30 amp breakers and fishing some wire.
Actually, I did really well buying this and thanks to all the people who wrote reviews that helped me decide.
Customer Review: Great garage heater Summary: 5 Stars
Bought for use in a 3+ car garage / shop. The space is very well insulated / sheetrocked, etc.
Very easy install, hung it from the ceiling and hardwired to box via conduit. Took less than an hour to install.
Here in Indiana, it keeps the garage at 55-60F on the second lowest setting and runs very little. Haven't had an electrical bill yet but it is a great little heater. Very quiet.
