Tools and Hardware Reviews of Newpoint International 200-Thread Count Cotton Waterproof Mattress Pad, TwinCustomer Review: Bought two, then bought two more! Summary: 5 Stars
I absolutely recommend these matress pads. They're quiet (as in silent--they have no crinkle to them at all) and definitely waterproof--or at least, highly resistant. I have a 1 1/2 (in diapers) and 3 1/2 year old (in pull-ups at night), both who are heavy wetters at bedtime and who occasionally leak through. Once in awhile, my 3 year old has put himself down for a nap and wet the bed. To my complete delight, there was not even a little moisture on his mattress, no matter how long the bed was wet before he woke up.
As for washing them, they wash and dry well (no shrinking). I do not use any fabric softener for them, because I'm afraid that will cut down on their waterproofing ability. They fit easily on deep mattresses, and are super soft and comfy.
I originally bought two a year ago for my oldest child, and since we just bought a bed for my younger child, I searched high and low to find the same mattress pads again--then bought two more. Can't go wrong with these.
Customer Review: Newpoint Waterproof Twin Mattress Pad Summary: 5 Stars
I cannot highly enough recommend this product. BUY THIS PRODUCT! You would NEVER know this is waterproof until it proves itself that it is. We bought my daughter a pricey new mattress, therefore wanted a waterproof pad and when this came, I first thought they sent the wrong one. It doesn't even feel like a waterproof mattress pad. It's cushiony and soft. It's GREAT. I wanted one for OUR bed, just because it's so soft! Well, the first time she spilled a glass of water on it and sure enough, it's waterproof, I was VERY impressed! VERY high quality. Washes and dries like a dream.
Customer Review: isnt waterproof Summary: 1 Stars
I bought this a couple of weeks ago and today I noticed that the dampness of my sons diaper soaked through the mattress pad onto the mattress. He is mostly potty trained so his diapers are not really wet.... I was skeptical of this pad because it doesn't have a plastic liner. I am so dissappointed. Now I have a wet mark on his brand new mattress. Thank God I didn't start leaving his diaper off to potty train during his nap. It definitly would have been much much worse!!! I do not recommend this for young children. I am going to contact the company for my money back....
Customer Review: very soft but too tight Summary: 3 Stars
I was glad to see that the fabric was soft and not in the least bit crinkly, but it was nearly impossible to put on. It is a thicker than average mattress, but the elastic band is so tight that I popped the seam a little just to get it over the bed. The fabric itself stretched fine--it was only the elastic that made it such a struggle to put on. It kept the mattress completely dry, though.
Customer Review: It is not waterproof Summary: 1 Stars
There is not much more to say. I have a 6 year old bed wetter and I thought that this would be more comfortable than the traditional plastic protectors. When she has an accident it completely soaks right through to the mattress. I am so disappointed that any company can get away with this type of false advertising.
