Tools and Hardware Reviews of Nite Ize SB1-2PK-01 Size-1 S-Biner, Black, 2-PackCustomer Review: Very handy Summary: 5 Stars
The Nite Ize s-biner, is very handy. I use the every day I have never had them fall off or had something slip out of the wire gate. I've seen reviews and people say that happened to them I carry a knife on my key chain (crkt Riter) and I have never lost it or seen any sign of it coming off. I used them on a back packing trip down south and had to attach a dry sack to the top of my pack, I clipped them to the pack and ran Para cord thrue them.
They can only hold 5 pounds but that's a lot of weight for something that's only as big as a quarter. Over all yes I would recommend this to a friend.
Customer Review: Small, works Summary: 3 Stars
As other reviews inform, these things are tiny and the tension is not that great in the clips. I knew this before buying though.
I am using these specifically to strap down a sleeping bag. The previous vinyl straps had fallen apart so I rigged up a harness with some paracord and a couple of these clips. There's enough tension to hold the rig together even without the clips. The clips just make it a touch more secure. Though these work, you'd probably do better by going up to the next size clip as they are more functional and easier to manipulate.
Customer Review: Nice when work but accidently come off too often Summary: 2 Stars
This is a neat design & idea, but for something like your keys that you grab with your hands often, it's way to easy to accidently open it and disconnect your keys. I was losing half my keys once every two weeks just by grabbing them. I've gone back to the threaded oval chain connector like shown here (solid and won't accidently come off):
threaded oval connector back-leg-chest (force gauge) chain , Item- 12-0446
Customer Review: S BINERS ARE TOO COOL NOT TO USE Summary: 5 Stars
I bought some of these nifty clips from the PX at Fort Lee VA. I found if you put your key ring on the middle part of the S shape, you will not lose anything. It is a little wierd, but this allows you to use either end to clip your keys to a belt loop or a small loop made of 550 cord. I use a small loop of 550 cord around my belt and the keys hang down into my pocket. That keeps the keys handy, off the bottom of my pocket, and the S biner does not ruin the belt loops of my pants.
Customer Review: Great for jump drive Summary: 5 Stars
This has been a great product. I work in IT and am constantly taking jump drives in and out. I use this clip to secure my drive on my belt loop. I haven't had any issues, been carrying it almost 2 months now. I am also pleased that the paint hasn't scratched off yet revealing silver underneath making it look cheap. You can even still read the text on the other one that's on my key chain that I always keep in my pocket with my keys. Very useful!
