This is my second immersion heater that I purchased. The first one quit working after 1 year of frequent use. Decided to buy a second one because the price was good for the performance I received. Did get a lot of use out of the first and perhaps I used the heater without having it immersed enough in the liquid, maybe I burned it out. Just don't know.
Would recommend overall.

I purchased this item for a planned trip since wanted to save money and not eat out every meal. I purchased several easy open soups and followed the directions (by immerging this heater prior to plugging it in and unplugging before removing it). It worked perfectly and is much sturdier than units I had purchased in the pass. Plan to purchase a few more for family and friends.Customer Review: Works great!

Ordered this because I was planning to stay in a hotel that didn't have a coffeemaker in the room. Works perfectly! Fast, too...I plugged it in and went down the hall to get ice for my cooler; by the time I got back, the water was already boiling. As someone else mentioned, the little plastic clip broke off after a few uses, but it works without the clip.Customer Review: This heater is just waiting for you to screw up.

I had this heater for maybe 3 days when it shorted out. I read the instructions and did not plug it in until it was submerged. I read reviews stating how you had to have it in a liquid or it would short out. Maybe someone should have said it needed to be COMPLETELY submerged, almost all the way to the handle. In my opinion it's not worth a penny.Customer Review: Love it!!!!

I love this item! My friend and I each took one on our trip to Las Vegas. We had coffee and tea in our rooms every morning without the fuss or expense of getting dressed, going downstairs, paying a fortune for coffee after standing in line for twenty minutes. It worked really fast and was the best investment! I would highly recommend it.
