Works very well! They don't make it clear what liquids are OK; only that something thick like oil and cream aren't OK. I tired reheating coffee with half-n-half in it, however, and it seemed to work fine - very quickly, yet without burning the liquid.Customer Review: Poor quality

I purchased two of these (based on the previous reviews that I read) to take with me on a two week trip. I was able to use the first one exactly once. The second one made it through the remainder of the two week period and still works.

This is the third immersion heater I have used and it is the best. I paid twice as much for the others and this one heats water to boiling within about five minutes as opposed to ten or more minutes with the others. I got this one at ACE hardware.
