I did not purchase this product through Amazon. But I bought the exact same device (Super Switch Brand with three outlets and one remote control with three switches) from a Harbor Freight Tool Store. I experienced the same problem described by others in the reviews involving short range which kept getting shorter and eventually didn't work at all after about a week. I purchased a skylink wireless remote Skylink WS-100/WS-100N Wireless Remote Control, Channel A(Single switch and outlet) using Amazon and it has been working perfectly for over a year now.Customer Review: did not work for me

This product did not work, tried it many ways and added new battery but worked only at 2 foot range and even then intermittently. Sent it back, get the Woods brand which did work for me.Customer Review: super switch performance

The Super Switch wireless remote I bought is only mediocre in performance. Sometimes it works and other times it doese not. I'd say it is about 75% reliable and is only effective at close range. JOECustomer Review: Works as advertised

I got this to turn the "charging station" for my various electronics on and off since the plug is not easily accessible. It works great, altho I'm not exactly taxing the unit much since the receiver is only about 3 feet from the remote.
