I purchased this b/c the one that came w/ the ironing board (when we bought the house)never fit quite right. I had tried all kinds of things to get it to stay on and had finally resorted to literally tying it down. This one fits much better, but still took a lot of finagling to get it in place and get it to stay there. It would be much easier if they could manufacture it w/ elastic, rather than the strings that have to be tightened. However, once you get it situated, it works fine. It's just an ironing board cover, after all.
