Tools and Hardware Reviews of O2-Cool Model 1054 10" Indoor/Outdoor Fan

Customer Review: Broke before I ever used it
Summary: 1 Stars

The legs were a bit tricky to put down, and when I did, I busted the mounts. Never even used this thing & threw it away. Coleman makes one that I bought that's better built, and Excalibur Electronics has one available as well that I also bought - I like Excalibur's better, but both are better than this piece of junk. All 3 brands are in the same price range. Interestingly, there aren't a lot of portable ac/dc fan options out there... I bought these for camping in Florida.

Customer Review: Great little fan for camping
Summary: 5 Stars

Took this fan camping for two nights in Alabama in July. I've been camping with the Boy Scouts for the last 12+ years; I wish I had found one of these fans sooner. It worked great - had the fan on low speed for two nights and it was still going strong. It uses 8 D cell batteries, so you could go through a bunch of those on an extended campout. They do make models that are rechargeable, but you will pay more. Great little fan; made the July heat bearable.

Customer Review: Good for my needs - Satisfied
Summary: 4 Stars

This fan is exactly what I needed to keep cool during my outdoor art shows. Easy to hang in booth and customers come in and browse longer to enjoy the cool air. A little heavy with all the batteries, but sturdy and reliable. Relatively quiet too. It blows a nice stream of air, but you have to be directly in front of it (not off to the sides, even a little) to benefit. Overall, a good purchase and I will be purchasing a couple more.

Customer Review: Hit and Miss
Summary: 3 Stars

We have two of these fans. Bought one in Walmart to use in our RV. That one works well and we have had no problems with it. We then bought another one to use in our house. That one started making a ticking noise as if something was hitting the blades after only a few nights. Both fans move air well and are just the right amount of white noise. The ticking sound on the second unit is too annoying so we don't use it anymore.

Customer Review: Worth the money **
Summary: 4 Stars

I have used this fan on atleast 2 camping trips. This is the best I have used so far. Have tried atleast 3 to 4 diffent companies, including coleman. For 2 to 3 person tent, one should do. For larger need atleast 2 fans. It for sure can move the air. It's fairly simple to set it up ( assuming one can read and comprehend ). Only, reason I gave 4 is because of the 8 D batteries it consumes. Well, it justifies the performance.
