I bought this to use at work. It is small and quiet enough to sit on the desk, yet moves enough air to cool the entire office.
I am warm blooded and enjoy the constantly moving air. It makes me feel more comfortable in warm weather, even in air conditioned spaces.
If you need that little bit extra cooling in the summer, but are reluctant or unable to increase the air conditioning, this little fan is a good solution.

The fan worked well the first two days but later the switch broke so that it is permanently in the second speed position. Its not that big of a problem (I can always just unplug it when I get tired of it) but it would have been really nice it it didn't break. Everything else works fine; its a sturdy and maneuverable fan, versatile and perfect to position towards your bed when the A.C. breaks down in your Georgia Tech dorm.Customer Review: Works great in Office, Definitely worth the price paid

Clip or Stand on the desk.
This fan is really easy to assemble and runs extremely quiet.
It also delivers exactly the right amount of air flow to keep you cool in case... say the air conditioner breaks down... or the AC just isn't delivering what's needed.
Looks pretty clean and neat with your office too, as long as you don't mind the white color.

Really, I'm not unrealistic. I know that lower prices normally mean an equal decline in quality. But this was too much. One of the fans hums but doesn't turn (returned this one). Two others had the on/off switch knocked back into the casing--I had to disassemble these and glue them (even before plugging them in!). I am sure you can find somewhere better to spend $10 and cool off.Customer Review: Exactly what I needed

I was looking for a small fan to clip on to my computer desk during the day and onto my bed at night, just to keep me a little cooler when the weather gets to 80 or 90 degrees. It works perfectly for this purpose, and I'm very happy with it. I'm thinking of buying another to take with me to work on hot days.
