I bought this large size of a well-loved product that I've used for years as a laundry spot remover. It's been so completely effective, I was thrilled to find this more economical size and stocked up. Sadly, it's not the same formula as the product labeled the same but in the 12-ounce size and is not as effective with the laundry. I've reviewed this size product when it was labeled differently and had determined at that time it was not the same formula so apparently they relabeled it. I noticed the fluid was a slightly different color but didn't pay much attention and when I ran out of the smaller size and started using this I was disappointed to find it was not only less effective at removing spots, it actually leaves spots of its own! Fortunately, the De-Solve-It spray in the 12-oz. size removes both spots so I've salvaged the shirts, but I sure am frustrated to have several bottles of this stuff on hand now when I can't use it as I expected.
I still gave it 3 stars because it's effective at removing sticky stuff and label goo from newly purchased products and other such stuff and that is it's primary purpose, but for laundry, I can't use it even though it states on the bottle that you can (i.e. has the same label as the 12 oz size of De-Solv-It Remover spray that is the most wonderful spot remover ever.) I recommend that highly, but buy the smaller size, not this one, if you want to use it as a laundry spot remover.
