Customer Review: Great Hooks, But Incorrect Product Description

This is a great set of crochet hooks for the price. They are quite comfortable to hold, are a good weight, and seem to be well constructed.
However, purchasers should be aware that the product description is not accurate. You only receive 5 hooks, ranging in sizes 5.5mm - 9mm (US I-M). The picture does show the five hooks you get, but the description indicates that you will get "12 PCs bamboo crochet hooks 2.75mm-10.0 mm". Despite this, I still feel that these hooks are worth the price. A minor annoyance is that the US sizes are NOT laser printed with the metric size, but that can be easily remedied by writing it on each hook with a permanent marker for easy reference.
Even with these two complaints, I think the product itself still deserves a four-star rating.

I actually bought this item to add $$ to my order to get free shipping - however the needles are hard to catch the yarn as you are trying to crochet. I taught myself to crochet years ago, and currently I am using cotton thread to make dishcloths for Christmas gifts. I spent more time trying to keep the yarn hooked than I did crocheting! The dip in the hook isn't deep enough to hold onto the yarn-I was using dk and struggling. They are also a little rough at first-I oiled mine with a beeswax/olive oil combo I use for wood toys and that fixed it and made them very smooth. I'm new at crocheting. The only other hook I tried before was a Boye brand one then I bought this set. When using the Boye one I keep accidently catching the loops I'm trying to go through, splitting the yarn etc. Using these hooks which are shaped a little differently that never happens so I like these better.Customer Review: Feel of crochet hook in hand is great

Metal and plastic crochet hooks can't compare to the feel of bamboo crochet hooks. These are awesome. I've been looking for bamboo hooks for a long time and was happy to find them here. I hope Oriental Touch will at some time carry other sizes of bamboo hooks. I'd definitely purchase more.
