Customer Review: Nice height, ok cleaning. Before and after photos attached

I have not been able to wash my tub for close to 9 months because of a herniated disk and subsequent back surgery, so my tub was a perfect subject to test the ability of Mr. Clean MagicReach.
The mop was easy to assemble out of three parts. The height of the mop was perfect, allowing scrubbing the tub without much bending. The cleaning mitt is covered with fine fibers forming a gentle scrubbing surface. This material is not as scrubby as a real brush. [see attached photos]
The mop did a fine job removing light stains but not the soap scum accumulated during the long period of neglect. I scrubbed vigorously for 5 minutes, then let it stand for 10 minutes, then scrubbed again for 5 minutes. Washed off with hot water, and repeated the process one more time. The dirt was lighter, but not totally gone.
I also have to mention that the cleaning chemical had a very strong odor, it slightly burned my eyes and skin on my hands (without gloves). I am normally not sensitive to cleaners or chemicals.
Overall, I am pleased with the height of the mop, and the way the cleaning head adjusts to the shape of the tub. The package contained only 4 mitts (2 tub mitts and 2 floor mitts). The mop did a reasonable job cleaning, although it did not totally meet the challenge I presented it with.

I have three bathrooms used by two teenagers and their friends, a toddler and her friends and so they need heavy duty cleaning every week. A neighbour suggested the Mr Clean to me saying it really cut down on her cleaning time and she didn't have to wreck her back scrubbing the tub. I am disappointed with it. The one thing I did like was the pole. I was able to scrub the tub, the tile on the walls without needing to overreach. That said, I really had to scrub hard to get the grime off the tub, and still couldn't get it all until I used my regular scrub brush. I think I was expecting this to be a way that I could do a lighter clean in between the heavy duty ones but obviously not so. The other thing that bothered me was that you have to RINSE off the stuff after you scrub; from watching the commercial I feel misled because you get the impression that you just scrub and you're done. At least it wasn't that spendy so I don't feel too bad about the wasted money.Customer Review: Easy Cleaner, Pain Reliever

What a tool this one is. If you are, or know someone who has physical disabilities that make it difficult for them to reach or bend then this is not only a help but a miracle tool.
Being a person who is not rich to say the least, it took me quite a bit of consideration to think about whether or not to purchase this item or not. Now that I have I am sorry that I waited as long as I did. It takes me minutes to do what used to take me honestly an hour to do. What is even more important to me is that I can clean and not hurt myself near as much. I can clean the top part of the tiles in the shower, and I couldn't even reach that before at all and now it is a standard part of the bathtub cleaning routine and cleaning around the toilet and behind it; I can do that without even bending down. This tool certainly earns the name "Magic Reach". I would certainly buy it again if this one does break I will replace it.

I think the pole could be a foot longer and yes, the clearner drips a little when you're trying to facen the wipe onto the mop. But I didn't have any problems keeping it on. I think this tool works well with small areas, like an entryway, bathroom floor or a small kitchen. Perfect for trailers or mobile homes. The wipe tends to dry up pretty quick but I just spray a little window cleaner and finish the job. It's certainly more sanitary than a conventional mop.
In conclusion, this is best used for small jobs and short people.

Skip this entire product. I made the mistake of purchasing it and stocked up on the scrubbing and non-scrubbing (mopping?) pads. Now, I can't find the non-scrubbing ones anywhere in my entire county. I think they don't want to compete with their own product "Swiffer" which they also manufacture. I emailed them and they suggested I buy online. I checked walgreens.com and drugstore.com and no luck. I imagine they will phase this out and you will be stuck with a wasteful "who gives a hoot" rod.
