Customer Review: Had to return- product keeps falling off the faucet

I've used the Pur faucet products for years now. They are always good while they last (a year or two, max in our small office where they get pretty heavy use). This one is the worst of the bunch. Maybe I just got a defective model, but the way this one is supposed to work is you screw a Pur-supplied adapter onto your faucet and then the filter clicks into the adapter. The "click" isn't very secure and the thing falls off at a moment's notice. After 5-10 tries playing around with a wrench and the various adapters, I've given up and returned it.Customer Review: Junk

I will make this short and sweet. I purchased one of these filters. After a few months, a crack appeared near the indicator(just like all the other reviews). I dealt with it for a couple more weeks until more cracks appears on the left side of the filter. The first crack I could deal with, it was only a small spray. The second and third were another story. I decided to toss it and not even deal with replacement/warranty. I will be going with brita jug filters for now on. I had another brand of faucet filter and when the filter got close to being full, it kept falling off the faucet. I switched back to Pur (had used it before, bought the other brand because filters were less expensive) and it mounts very securely on the faucet, filters are larger so they will last longer and it looks nice. I do think filters on a faucet are bulky and in the way sometimes but I want filtered water so this is the best one I've used yet out of three different ones.Customer Review: Now tap water is filtered too!

We had this same water filter when we lived up north; as we're living in SW Florida now and I don't like the taste of tap water, I found the purchase price of this PUR filter far more economical than from our local True Value, who offered the two-stage but not the three-stage, as ordered from Amazon. Too, the six-pack of filters was a much better price, so we're happy all around. We've got filtered water from the refrig and now also from the tap.Customer Review: Great product

This is actually the 2nd one of these I've purchased. They last about 4 years with heavy regular use. I love the filter window. There's no guessing or trying to remember when the filter needs to be changed. I have reptiles and they can't have tap water, this is perfect. The only thing I don't run the water through this for is washing hands and an occasional hand washed dish. Great value, saves $$ over bottled water and is evnironmentally friendly.
