My city's water tastes like chlorine, but the Pur faucet mount filter system takes care of the problem and makes drinking the local tap water a pleasure. I filter drinking water (for me and my cats), water for tea, and any water that touches food during preparation. Amazon's price for the 6-pack of Pur replacement filters is cheaper than local stores (and the same price as Sam's Discount Club), so buying them here is a no-brainer. These are great filters. I have been using them for years. If you have a system that alerts you when to change the filter, you don't necessarily have to change the filter when it indicates. Just take the filter out and put back in to reset. The quality of water going through it will determine when the filter needs changed. When it starts to taste bad, change it. These filters are a whole lot cheaper on Amazon than any other place I found selling them.Customer Review: Great filters for a great price!

There is not much to say about the filters themselves as they are great. These are the PUR 3-Stage filters and they make my water clear and pure and it really tastes great! This price is awesome and beats the company that I previously used by over $15! If you need these filters for your faucet mount filter, Amazon is the place to get them. Like a lot others, I couldn't get the PUR water filter to work. With each filter, after barely 1 week, the water stops flowing out of the filter. Instead, the thing keeps leaking, and jetstreaming water all over the place. Initially, I thought if I replace the filter, it would be ok. But after readjusting the base, and trying multiple filters, I finally gave up. I wish I had read the reviews before I bought the 6 pack.Customer Review: Does the job, but pricey and short-lasting

I have used Pur faceut filters for about 9 years. Yes, they are pricey, although Amazon's price of $49.99 for 6 filters is the best I've seen and is more acceptable. They do NOT last 2-3 months. There's only 2 people in my household, and they last about 4-6 weeks. That said, I like the water and Brita has not impressed me. So I pay the price. I'm glad to have found Amazon, instead of paying $10 per filter at stores.
