I bought those hoping it would fit my Kenmore fridge...and it does! In fact, when I pulled out that expensive Kenmore filter, I did a side-by-side comparison. The exteriors are identical. The Kenmore filter is also made by "Pur", and they must charge the extra $25 to put their name on it. I'm very pleased this filter fits and works well. Great cost savings over that ridiculous Kenmore filter.Customer Review: Save yourself some $

A little research goes a long way. We'd ordered the filter from where we got the refrigerator for years. Why it took us so long to check Amazon is beyond me but save yourself some money and get it from here. No problem with ordering. Couldn't tell you how well the product works because it just gets stuck in but it appears to be the exact same thing we've paid more for these past years.Customer Review: careful. defects from shipping

The new filter was damaged. We found out after I installed it and several days later the water pressure was really low. The 5 months old fridge was still under warranty. A repairman came out and tested the filter. He explained that filters often get internally damaged from shipping. I had to get a new filter and the problem went away. This filter is same as what whirlpool is selling. The only difference is whirlpool puts there label and sell it for $ 40 + tax+ shipping. I was a little hesitant about this before placing the order. But totally satisfied when i saw my old whirlpool filter and this one next to each other.
Great way to save 15$, buy it from amazon instead of whirlpool

I have not had any trouble with this product. Does not add any funny flavor to the water, I believe it actually helps get rid of some taste, versus when I use water straight from the tap, instead of from the refrigerator. Ice cubes do not have a funny taste or odor. Does not change the taste of my drinks. (In the past, I have had my ice make my drinks taste funny)
