I've been purchasing this filter at Sears for the last 3 yrs and then realized that Amazon sold it for $20 cheaper (plus free shipping). Needless to say I'll be buying it from Amazon in the future. Kenmore is actually made by Whirlpool, so there's no difference between the one Sears sells and this one (except the price!). Thank you Amazon.Customer Review: Very good product.

Bought this whirlpool filter for my Sear's Kenmore refrigerator. I originally bought the Pur Kenmore filter from Sears. It was $52?! Found this Pur filter (states for whirlpool) on amazon.com. Bought TWO filters and had free shipping for less than $50! Happy Happy Savings. This product works perfect in our Kenmore refrigerator.Customer Review: Great Kenmore Replacement

I have replaced my Kenmore filter with two of these now and they work well. You just have to be patient and drain the water to get rid of all the air bubbles. If you don't you will have water leaking out on your floor. This happened the first time we installed it.
Now, if only my Kenmore refrigerator worked as well as this!

We were very happy to order the refrigerator ice and water filter cartridge from Amazon.com because this was the cheapest way we could get it. Sears wants to much money for this item, so it was a pleasure for us to order it at a much lower price from Amazon.com.

There isn't much to review about a water filter, at least not if you don't have the apparatus to measure how well it's filtering water. I don't, so all I can say is that it fit correctly in my Kitchenaid side-by-side and water comes through it as expected. It's been in about a month and it hasn't clogged or leaked. Seems OK to me.
