Tools and Hardware Reviews of PUR QTSS Whirlpool Quarter Turn Refrigerator Water FilterCustomer Review: Review of water filter cartridge Summary: 5 Stars
I am sure the filter would have been fine. I was so thrilled with the new water hook up to my refrigerator, that I purchased a brand new French door one that uses a different filter. I used the filter for about 2 weeks. I must say, I didn't like the taste of the water that was coming from the filter. keep in mind that the water connection had not been used for about 5 years before I got it connected to a water supply.
Customer Review: Just what I was looking for...AND LESS EXPENSIVE, TOO! Summary: 5 Stars
I'd priced other brands costing more, then I remembered Amazon sold more than books and I took a chance to see if they had water filters. They did. I decided to buy more than one which gave me even more cost savings....It's becoming less often that items bought online are what they claim to be...this one was and is. If you have a side-by-side and your model can use this PUR...don't fret...buy it!
Customer Review: DOES NOT FIT ALL 1/4 Turns Summary: 4 Stars
Unlike the review below that states "Fits all Quarter turn refridgerators", this filter DOES NOT FIT LG Refridgerators quarter turn. The filter is too short and the connection head is too big.
Luckily Amazon was awesome enough to refund me, and I am stuck buying the expensive manufacture brand.
The pur filter is great in price and researched function though....
Customer Review: My Sears filter was made by PUR so why not! Summary: 5 Stars
Since PUR filters were the highest rated in my Consumer Reports, I decided to give this a try. I was pleased to see that the Sears filter I removed from my Kenmore side by side is made by PUR!!! Basically the same filter, only $15 less.
Another reviewer mentioned the cost of shipping but I got free shipping since it cost $25. A very good buy and still working great 4 months later.
Customer Review: Not NSF Certified? Summary: 1 Stars
There is no NSF certification for this filter available on Amazon or on the PUR Web site. That seemed kind of sketchy. Is it Class I, II, or III? Maybe they do not get their products certified. So I bought the NSF Class I (best) certified Whirlpool 4396510 which is also available here on Amazon at a slightly higher price, but I would not sacrifice quality or safety for an extra $7.
