Customer Review: I'm really glad I got this tool!

I started to skip writing this review because there are already so many good ones, but I just couldn't resist. A tool this simple, that does exactly what it says it will do, is something worth telling people about.
This is my first time ever putting up Hardie plank and this tool has made it really easy to get a great looking job. I chose the aluminum version because I do drop things occasionally, and because I used the primed Hardie plank - not the pre-painted ones. A scuff or two on my planks doesn't matter since there will be a coat of primer and two coats of finish going on these boards, so I opted for the durability of metal.
Learning from the reviews here on Amazon, I have been careful to be sure that I set the gauge flush against the plank on both sides - so it's straight, not slanting slightly. I've also been careful to check it once the next plank is resting on it, to be sure that I didn't jar it out of place (this has not been a problem, even once - the clamp is very secure) - and then I nail it down. It's quicker to do it than to describe it!
Get this tool - and fear not, first timer!
