These hearing protectors are extremely quiet. I have used other headphone style hearing protection as well as in the ear types, these beat all of those hands down. I don't use mine in a dusty, dirty or over rough environment so I can't attest to durability. The cushions that actually touch your head might disintegrate if you are too rough with them. As far as comfort they feel great. Though the packaging claims all day comfort I disagree. After an hour or two your ears/head aches from the pressure. The pressure isn't painful, just noticeable. EXCELLENT product for a low price.
I was struggling with noise from neighbors above me at my apartment complex. These phones block out much more noise than I expected. They are a little weighty on the head but not as bad as one might think. I have fallen asleep in a chair with these on.
I would definitely recommend these. They probably block out over 90% of annoying sounds, bangs, etc that annoy me from up above; only the loudest sounds come through. This is one of the best products of this type that you're going to find at this price.

I researched several pairs of headsets here on Amazon before reading the other glowing reviews of the Pelcor 97010 and deciding on this particular pair/brand. I have never bought any ear protection before, but I just recently purchased a backpack leaf blower and knew I would want something to protect my ears.
These earmuffs are very comfortable and fit nicely around my giant head! I wear a fitted size 7 7/8 hat, so I needed something that would not only protect my ears but fit my head as well. These earmuffs provide a solid seal around my ears. They do not sit on my ears, they sit around them, cupping them prefectly. They provide outstanding protection for every application I have used them for--mainly mowing the yard, blowing leaves, and running the vacuum. The adjustments for these earmuffs are very sturdy, so once you adjust them to your size and fit, they will stay that way.
My only complaint--which is a minor one--is that I happened to drop them on the driveway once and when I picked them up there was a small divet about the size of a pea that was taken out of them. So the plastic outer shell is not quite as durable as I would like. But then again, I bought them to protect my ears and not to take them outside and spike them on the driveway. For the money and the protection it offers, this set of earmuffs is really hard to beat.
