These are absolutle rubbish... I tried these at the shooting range and I may as well have not been wearing anything (yes olive side in for indoor use). Had to switch immediately over-the-ear hearing protection. Do not waste your time, money or risk your hearing on these. The manufacturer should feel very guilty for advertising these as applicable for shooting.
