I am curently having physical therapy at hospital, three times a week, following shoulder surgery. While going through one of my exercises I saw a quart size bottle of Biofreeze sitting near by on a table. I could do the movemment and also read the information on the bottle so I did so. I wrote the web site information on my wrist band and later asked the physical therapist about it . He said it was really good , much better than an thus far on the market. It 'gets to the point of pain' really well and is a good price ( look around for larger sizes etc...) . The therapist told me to make sure I either wore gloves or washed my hands really well after applying it , as it will burn your eyes and any other sensitive part of you body it comes into contact with. Without going into detail, make sure your hands are washed well before using the bathroom.
He gave me 4 packets to try out before purchasing, to see how well it worked for me . If anyone currently using any of the many products available , most just a varying amount of the main ingredient in Biofreeze ( menthol), and are getting results, I would advise you to try this. Unlike others the odor leaves rather quickly, and it really is much better, at least for me . I assume it is because of a unique way the pain reliever is transported to the point of pain, unlike the others which tend to sit mostly on top of the skin. I was always one who felt that the main benefit from any of the pain relieving rub on/spray on products was the massage you got from rubbing it in , and the results were short lived , if much at all. I advise you to try Biofreeze, and if skeptical purchase a small supply and try it first . I believe you will get very good results, and it is safer than most for sensitive skin . Anything which can lower you dependance on strong pain relievers taken by mouth are a huge plus.
