as a person who goes hiking and camping a lot I must say it's the 1st thing I put in my back pack before each trip.
I used 2 have it for over 7 years, including 3 years of military service. it survived a lot. Unfortunately I lost my precious, so had to get a new one.

I had a several headlamps before. The Petzl E48P is the best one yet. It is very lightweight and has a bright light, and also has a medium and low setting for saving the battery. I use it for camping and backpacking.Customer Review: perfect

Small, Bright... It fits in your pocket, and can be easily used wearing gloves, and in confined spaces. I use it all the time, and will probably buy a couple more to keep in the car and at home.
