Customer Review: Waterproof? Oh yeah.

We use this headlamp for night jogging. It was left in 'someone's' pocket, and was laundered in the washing machine. The batteries came out, the battery door came off, everything was loose in the wash. I was sure it was ruined. After letting everything air dry for a couple days, we popped the same batteries back in, and it worked like a charm. This is a tough little light. I am very impressed. I'm having to order another one though, 'someone' lost it. :)Customer Review: Very Useful

I use it for camping and just last week, in the early AM as we were leaving on vacation, the power went out. We had to catch a plane so there wasn't a delay option. I broke out the Petzl and it was almost like finishing the packing and getting ready in daylight.
It's been a more useful tool than I expected. When you're talking to somebody, flip down the tint and when you are looking for something, full LED power!

I love this headlamp! It's easy to use, and has stood up to mild abuse over my last 3 camping trips. It is PLENTY bright, I almost always use the lowest setting, but I still appreciate that it has 3 intensities. The flip-down red filter is great for extra-late nights around the campfire. My first headlamp was a cheap piece of junk from Wal-Mart, and I got what I paid for. This Petzl has made me proud.Customer Review: Awesome!

My fiancee and I each bought one of these super headlamps and just love them. Not only do we use them for camping and backpacking, but we also use them for bicycling in the evening. The red filter is a must have because you won't blind your camp mates with the LED (which are crazy bright even on the lowest setting). Yes this lamp is a bit more pricey that the others I think that it is worth every penny.Customer Review: Petzl E49P

The Headlamp shipped promptly and functioned properly right out of the packaging. The red flip cover is sturdy and works well. The sequence to get the varied levels of brightness are easy to manage and effective. It throws a wide enough beam to allow you to easily see what you are doing while being contained enough to be great light. Overall a great product and well worth the money.
