Just when you think LED lights can't get any better, Petzl comes out with the Tikka XP Headlamp. This single LED lamp has a range of up to 35 meters and still maintains a 120-hour maximum battery life. The Tikka XP also has a boost mode which gives you 50% more power for 20 seconds, and a tiltable light body lets you direct that light where you need it. When your batteries finally start to wear down, the battery life indicator light will let you know, so you will never be caught in the dark.Product Features

The Petzl TIKKA XP is at the cutting edge of high-output hands-free-lighting. Though it weighs just over 3 ounces, this headlamp still blasts out up to 35 lumens to a distance of up to 114 feet. It gives you a lot of flexibility in terms of lighting options, too. You get three different lighting levels (maximum, optimum, and economic) and two beam options (flood and spot) for short- and long-range illumination. Plus, if you really need to see what's making that growling noise way up ahead on the trail, it features a boost mode that increases output to 40 lumens for a 160-foot range beam (boost mode automatically shuts off after 20 seconds to conserve energy). And if you get lost running away from whatever was growling at you, it also includes an emergency strobe mode that makes you easy to locate.
The TIKKA XP will last up to 120 on the three included AAA batteries. If you do get toward the end of your charge, a battery level indicator lets you know when the batteries are 70% and 90% discharged.
