Tools and Hardware Reviews of Petzl Tikka 3-LED Headlamp, Green #E43P2Customer Review: Great light - use it all the time around the house Summary: 4 StarsThis gives a great amount of light and I find I use it all the time around the house - in the crawlspace - in the attic - anywhere I need light and want to keep my hands free. Sometimes the switch gets stuck, so I can only give four stars. Otherwise, I love this.
Customer Review: Great light Summary: 5 StarsThis is a great little light. I use it for homeowner repairs to keep my hands free. My wife thinks I look like a dork, but at least I'm not getting short with her for not being able to shine the flashlight where I need it.
I guess it didn't help matters when she went in the garage to see me sitting there in the dark with my little headlamp on.
Customer Review: Surprisingly great gift Summary: 4 StarsBought this is a Christmas gift so that I wouldn't have to always hold the flashlight under the car hood... what a great idea! (we have flood lights, too, but they burned out at an inconvenient moment). This is an ideal solution for a hands-free light. As it turns out, it is great for his handyman construction tasks, too - in crawlspaces, in the attic, while wiring: any time a little "light on the matter" is helpful for him.
I did not give it five stars as with REALLY regular use, it didn't last past four months. I bought two more of a less-expensive brand because if he's going to thrash them anyway, I'm not buying the premium one. However, he isn't caving so it isn't a safety issue if the cheaper one burns out or the strap breaks. (Which is why I bought two - a second one is handy in the tool box, and backup bulb is there too.). I am getting more of these items for birthday gifts for the other "handy folk" in my life this year.
Customer Review: Rugged and bright Summary: 5 StarsI originally bought this for fishing a couple of years ago, but I've used it far more for remodeling and repair jobs. It fits very nicely below a ball cap, the batteries seem to last for at least six hours of use at the max setting, and it has withstood being bounced around in toolbags without damage. With fresh batteries, it provides enough light on the subject to almost eliminate the need for worklights. It is especially handy for PITA jobs like changing out a garbage disposal, where there's barely enough space for you, let alone a hot and clumsy 110V lamp
Customer Review: Petzl Tikka LED Headlamp Summary: 5 StarsEvery one in my family want one. This is a great product
