I was a little sceptical about ordering this pillow, because I needed a better pillow to sleep on, and you never know what your getting when you order online. I can honestly say that this pillow is wonderful. Like the other review, I recommend that a person sleeps with this pillow without the special cover that comes with it. The special cover makes the pillow too hard. Now, if you like firm pillows (and some people do) then use it by all means. I have just found satisfaction in putting my regular pillow cover over it and using it that way.
I have had better sleep and have not had any more backaches in the morning when I wake up after using this pillow. The first night I slept on it I immediately felt a difference in my body the next morning when I woke up. The first minute or two, it takes a little getting use to when you are use to sleeping on the regular pillows. However, you won't regret purchasing this pillow!! Buy it and sleep on it for ONE night. Then decide. Most likely, you'll keep it. Like I did. Great product!

I've now slept on this pillow for 2 wonderful nights. It's soft and cradles your head and neck. I haven't slept with it with the provided cover - though it's very soft, too. I think the cover constricts the movement of the beads, so it doesn't conform to your head and neck and feels hard. But for $30 I'm highly pleased with this pillow. I'll keep you posted about how it holds up and how it feels down the road.
--Two weeks later-- still love the pillow - put a loose fitting regular pillow case on it to protect it.
--Three Months Later-- still my favorite pillow purchase, may be a moot point, since Amazon does not seem inclinded to carry it any longer. I don't wake up with neck pain with this pillow - and I have lingering whiplash injuries (bulging discs).
--10 months later and final review. Still sleep with this pillow in a regular case. It's the still the best, though the long channel of microbeads has gotten less fluffy over time. I would still buy it again even if I had to buy one a year.

Every since someone recommended that i get a pillow like this I have been looking all over for it. They used to sell them at 'linen and things' but they have since closed. I've gone to most of the department stores but no one sells these. I've scoured the Internet market for it and finally came across this pillow on amazon so i purchased one. This pillow is incredible! I agree that it is a very firm pillow at first but as you use it more frequently the pillow starts to soften. Due to the price that it's currently selling for I had to purchase 3 more for family, my grand baby will sleep on nothing else (she loves the texture of the beads). The case that it comes with is nice and soft so you can use it just like that. I have had this pillow for sometime now and have not had any problems with the beads leaking. I would recommend this to anyone that is experiencing neck fatigue as it keeps your neck straight while sleeping. Objectively I have to include that not everyone may like the firmness initially but it does get softer.Customer Review: Still a pain in my neck...

I suffered terrible whiplash back in 1997 in an auto accident and have struggled for years with neck pain. After much searching I found the most relief I have ever felt. I began sleeping with a horse-shoe-shaped neck roll filled with bean-bag-chair-like stuffing purchased in an airport gift shop.
When I spotted this pillow it seemed to be made out of basically the same materials... so I ordered it. I admit I was quite the skeptic... So when I received this I hung onto the packaging; "just in case"... one month turned into 2, then 3... I threw the packaging away ...
You may have noticed that this was a 1 star review so here goes... I purchased this pillow in May of 2009... I am writing this review in October of 2009. I have had this pillow for only 5 short months and already it is worn out! It flattens when I place it under my neck and I wake up all night long chasing it around my bed. I am going back to the $12 neck roll from the airport! Don't waste your money... I did!!

Could this BE the ONE.. ?? It is looking like it. I am thrilled..
I have been struggling to find a comfortable pillow.. having bought unknown numbers of them that I have tried and threw out.. It has been really bad over the past month with waking with pain in shoulder, neck etc. I feel like Goldilocks trying out pillowS
.. with pillow to hard or pillow too soft... Or... PILLOW JUST RIGHT...
well I finally resorted to searching the internet and stumbled upon this pillow. Well it arrived and I tried to put it into the accompaning pillow case.. NO way... tooo tight and made the pillow way too firm.
Well pulled it out of the case and into a regular pillowcase... and VIOLA.. a perfectly manageable pillow..
Night #1 to bed at 10.. woke up at 7:30AM... HURRAY.. no pain in shoulder or neck...
Night #2 to bed at 10 woke at 7 AM... HURRAY .... no pain ....
FINALLY..I think I have found ' THE ONE'
