I really want to love this pillow. It feels so soft and feels like it will "give" in your hands, but when I lay my head on it, it feels like sleeping on a rock, even without the pillowcase. I'm sure this will improve with time after the microbeads spread out a little more, but right now, this pillow is unusable with the enclosed pillowcase and barely usable with a standard pillowcase. I actually find it hard to turn or re-adjust while sleeping on it and if I lay on my side, my ear throbs from the pressure of laying against such a hard surface.
I do have to give this credit for supporting my neck, but at what cost? I don't think a well-supported neck is worth a headache and sore ear everyday. I will keep trying to use this and update if I have better luck with breaking it in over time.

I've suffered from the effects of neck injuries for years and was trying to find a new pillow that didn't go flat like foam pillows do. I read the reviews on this pillow and thought I would give it a try. I first tried it without the pillow case that came with it, and used my own pillow case. The next night I put it in the pillowcase thinking it would constrict the beads in the pillow making it firmer. Unfortunately for my neck, I found this pillow too soft. I was waking up throughout the night and trying to make it firm under my neck to give me more neck support. By the 5th night I knew I couldn't sleep on the pillow any more and I had to return it. I've since shifted to a round buckwheat pillow which gives my neck the support I need and helps keep the curve in my neck that I need to maintain.Customer Review: 80million reasons to buy this pillow

Ok so what Tony Little doesn't tell you about this product is the 80million beads inside this pillow are actually eggs. He tells you if you don't like it after the first night you can send it back because on the second night, the eggs hatch. I woke up to a bunch of crunching underneath my head and next thing I knew 80million spider-like creatures were climbing into every oraphis of my body. At first I was panicked and although it was extremely painful, it was well worth it. They all crawled under my skin and into my arms, forming biceps much like Tony Little's (I believe this is how he gained his) and now I have hulk like strength! I was really looking forward to this pillow, I have heard good things from my friends about them. First night was a bit odd, the pillow is very firm and takes some getting used to. I could also feel little beads under the cover, between the pillow and the cover. During the second night I could feel there were more little beads under the pillow case. I looked to see what was going on in the middle of the night, the pillow was leaking beads at an end seam. This is like a bean bag leak but the beads very small. So, after two nights this thing goes back and I clean up the beads. I am disappointed as the pillow itself felt good, but this is a mess. I am opting for a refund of the product and shipping. I don't think I want to roll the dice on a replacement, I'll find something else.Customer Review: ***** Comfort!

I purchased a pair of these pillows and they are wonderful. I fall asleep quickly since I'm not adjusting every minute. I sleep soundly and wake without the terrible neck and shoulder pain. The design and beads conform to your neck and head and give gental support throughout the night, also they seem to be much much cooler than standard pillows, a real plus during California summers. On the old scale of 1 - 10 these are a 10 and a must buy.
In response to other posts - Yes, the cases provided are too small for the pillows, I used doubled cotton cases instead and works great. The other comment I read in earlier reviews was the smell...strong scent of fiberglass when unwrapped but I let the pillows completely air out for a week before using and they are fine.
