Customer Review: very heavy towels with care issues

Based on the positive reviews, I bought a complete set of these towels and the matching Pinzon Bamboo Cotton Hand Towel, White and Pinzon Bamboo Cotton 2-Pack Washcloths, White. They have some annoying aspects that weren't mentioned by other reviewers and that weren't obvious in the product descriptions.
The care instructions require cold water wash, no bleach. In general, don't everyone's towels occasionally need hot washing and sanitizing or stain removal?
The care instructions also specify low dryer temperature. These are relatively very heavy towels, and at a low temperature, just four towels take two full cycles in the dryer (90 minutes or more) to dry.
If you're a person who likes to wrap up in a towel with just a quick tuck to hold it in place, be aware that this towel is way to heavy for that. It's weight drags it down instantly.
That said, the towels are intensely soft, even silky. It's as if they have been soaked in fabric softener but without the absorption issues that would cause. They're very absorbent. They feel fabulous against even very dry sensitive skin without even a hint of abrasive texture.
Overall, I'm not unhappy enough to return them and they do feel nice, but if I had known they were so heavy and had the care issues, I don't think I would have purchased them.

Although I appreciate very much that bamboo, a very fast-growing plant, can be used for clothing and fabric, this particular towel was more like a bath sheet - too large for our tiny bathroom. Even though it's supposed to be absorbent, it slides on your body while you're drying yourself as though it were made of plastic. It also seems to absorb the A/C from the air vent and is really cold when you wrap it around yourself. That may or may not be a problem, but it's noticeable.Customer Review: Very soft, but feel moist

Yes, these bamboo/cotton towels feel very, very soft, they also don't feel completely dry. They do a great job absorbing water, but even after sitting on the towel rack for a day, they have a damp feel. It was a pleasant surprise that inspite of the damp feel the towel absorbed instantly and completely. This is a very luxurious towel.Customer Review: Wow! Best Towel I've Ever Bought

I bought this one along with the Pinzon cotton luxury towel, and I most definitely prefer this towel. I had no idea bamboo would feel so soft against my skin. Not only that, it feels luxurious, is light with great absorbency. I think I'm going to switch out all my cotton towels to these, seriously.Customer Review: Oh, so soft and absorbent

These towels are soft and fluffy and feel so nice against my skin. Washed twice and are softer than new. Takes two dryer cycles on medium to complety dry. We love them.
