Customer Review: ended up needing adaptors to get this working
Summary: 2 Stars

Ok, I live in a very very small condo. I have a end / ground floor unit so I have quite a bit of planting space and a fairly large patio. For months I had been lugging pails of water back and forth.
Not having access to an outdoor spigot I needed a hose that could attach to a indoor sink and I wanted it to stow away in a small space.
I ordered this hose set up from amazon. It came in a very worn box with no packing or instrucions. As a another reviewer stated this hose may NOT work out of the box with some faucets. That was my problem ... I had to purchase an adaptor ($$$) to get a threaded faucet end. Sadly, I had to purchase yet another adpater($$$) to get the right combo of female/male (?) end...and finally I have a working hose. Thats works just ok and does not have great water pressure nor reaches 50 feet.Another problem the "wand" with use keeps popping off. You can fix this by turning off the water and then reattaching it and then tighting it... a lot of work with this hose .After two weeks of daily use it also has devloped a small leak at the wand to hose part .I also have a mess of adapters on my faucet (UGGH!) My advice check out local stores and check your faucet BEFORE ordering this item!

Customer Review: Indoor use is OK
Summary: 3 Stars

I grow off thousands of seedlings under lights in a spare bedroom each winter and haul a lot of water by bucket. This simple hose eliminates the need for that and is less messy. Mine does not stretch to 50 feet so I still need to water some houseplants by bucket. The spray nozzle is flimsy and disappointing and does not detach so I am stuck with it's less than adequate utility. This is important to know as I also purchased a 75 ft hose by the same manufacturer expecting that the wand would be interchangeable. The wand tip doesn't allow for regulation (only a steady stream,no misting)although the tip does turn and should provide some regulation. If the wand becomes defective, the entire "system" needs to be tossed, making it a novel luxury item that does have some limited use. It is very useful for watering hanging baskets (I have a lot of hanging baskets) with the wand "stretch" so it gets a 3 star instead of a 2 star from me. After using this product a few times, I see it as a one season product with a short life and expect to replace it with a different brand that will hopefully be less disposable before my next winter indoor growing season. Not disappointed , because of the modest cost, but I wouldn't replace it with the same item next year.

Customer Review: Perfect for apartment-dwellers
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a fabulous product--let me count the ways:

1) Attractive and nicely designed, nice color, convenient trigger-mechanism to turn on water, easily adjustable spray, and the cord never gets tangled.

2) Easily attaches to kitchen or bathroom sinks--it comes with an adapter with both male and female threads, so it will hook up to almost all sinks. But, the adapter is a little difficult to unscrew, so I bought (for about $1.50 from Home Depot) a different adaptor to leave on my sink all the time, complete with an aerator, so that I can just screw on the hose when I want to use it. I leave the whole hose in the cabinet under my bathroom sink so that it's handy when I want to use it.

3) Perfect for apartment-dwellers: I live in a fifth-floor brownstone walkup, but I have a lot of plants inside and a balcony with lots of plants outside. The hose easily stretches the 30 feet from my bathroom sink to the balcony, and I can water my tomato plants and pea plants without carrying pitcher after pitcher of water outside. Furthermore, it's great for washing windows from the outside, cleaning off the balcony after a storm, and filling up tubs for apple-ducking or other activities.

Customer Review: Been using it for a couple of years now
Summary: 4 Stars

With reasonable expectations and intelligent use, this is a great tool for making watering your plants easier.... beats running back and forth to the sink with watering cans by a landslide. I bought a snap connector at Home Depot (about $7) and use that to connect it to my faucet... snap on, snap off... doesn't get easier. If you don't turn the pressure up too high (it's a small hose, let's have some common sense here - it's not the product's fault if you put too much pressure on it) and making sure I don't crimp it when pulling it out across the apartment.... it works beautifully. Like anything with screw together connections, occassionally you need to make sure nothing is working it's way loose... but that's no big deal. I've been using this for quite a while, with no serious issues. In fact, if this one eventually dies (which most things do), I'll probably buy the same ome... or maybe a longer one if I can find it. That you can lock the trigger in and not have to hold it down with your thumb to water is a bonus. That you can adjust the tip from a fine spray to a steady stream with a simple twist is also a very good thing.

Customer Review: Almost good
Summary: 1 Stars

This coil type was purchased to replace a similar product from Costco that they no longer carry. The product is similar to the previous item but the design results in very inferior performance. The spray wand is made of injection molded plastic parts and warps when it is stored in a horizontal position and is difficult to adjust the spray pattern and the adjustment range is inferior to the prefious metal design. The female threaded hose connection is also inferior due of insufficient strength of the threaded collar. It leaks profusely at normal water pressure and replacement of the hose gasket only fixed it for a short time. I still use the item but I have to use it only while the lawn sprinklers are on and the system pressure is less. The clear coil hose, on the other hand, is superior to the previouse product. I like it's handling characteristics and it's looks. My rating: 30% of parts good, Overall: Very Marginal. Jack Williams, 713 Highland Park, Fallbrook CA 92028, 760-728-3314, dackywe@aol.com
